What's Up.

I know.
I've been noticeably absent from my bloggy world.
And I miss it.
I miss YOU!
(Yes, you, reading this right now.)

I've been backed up on replying to comments.
I love replying to everyone's comments.
I will get to them, soon, I promise.

More than that,
though,
I miss my friends in this blog-o-sphere.
Yeah, I've been reading your blogs.
You've shared some great insights and posts.
And I want to thank you,
and encourage you to continue writing.
Cause I love reading your words.
And I'm sorry I haven't shared that lately.

I miss blogging.
I miss writing.
I miss you.

I'll be back.
Lots of posts are brewing in my head.
Next stop - my journal.
And
Eventually
The blog.

Thanks for sticking with me.
Means a lot.
More than you'll probably know.

Day 12: I miss...

Ooohhhh...... this prompt feels like letting the air out of a balloon.  There's a lot that I miss, people, places, times...... and I really try to not dwell on them because they evoke a degree of sadness that tends to linger for longer than I care to admit.  Which means you're getting another list.  Cause they're less emotional.  Or something.

  • I miss my equestrian life.  It was such a special chapter of my life.
  • I miss my sweet, cuddly cat.
  • I miss the carefree innocence of childhood.  I didn't get to be a kid long enough.....
  • I miss the family camping trips before they got bad.
  • I miss my California "family" and the vacations I had with them.
  • I miss being able to make decisions that were not based on money.
  • I miss the milestone experiences I skipped growing up.

Day 12 Prompt: What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

You Never Know

I've had the Pup for ten weeks.  Even during the messy first week I still knew.  I knew that this Pup was going to change me.

And he did.

Despite all my years around the horses and family pets, I never realized what it was like to be the sole owner of a little critter that completely and utterly depends on you.  For everything.  Like this little guy.

He makes me cry.  He makes me smile, too.  He has shown me that there is so much more out there than what I've seen and experienced.

He can't fix everything.  But he is making things a little more tolerable.
Most of the time.
